Contour Audio & Acoustics was founded in 2013 from the concept that whether you’re eating at a restaurant, working in an office, or attending a concert, you deserve an experience that sounds the best it can be. We’ve heard too much about the negative impact that sound issues have had on a variety of businesses. Our goal is to solve that problem. We understand how much goes into creating and maintaining your business, and we believe that starting with great acoustics and adding great sound is a recipe for success!
Ryan Balentine
Owner & Founder
Ryan Balentine is a seasoned audio engineer, project manager, and small-business owner with more than two decades of experience across the live production, construction, and technical services industries. He graduated from the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in 2004 with a degree in Audio Engineering and later earned a Certificate in Construction Management from Colorado State University. He also previously held a Colorado real estate license.
Ryan has extensive touring experience as an audio engineer and production manager for nationally recognized artists. He has mixed headlining performances at major music venues and festivals across the United States and internationally, serving audiences of up to 25,000 people. In Colorado, he has managed and engineered sold-out shows at world-class venues including Red Rocks Amphitheatre, 1stBank Center, the Fox Theatre, the Boulder Theater, and the Historic Chautauqua Auditorium.
Before launching his current business, Ryan spent 15 years in the ski, snowboard, and bicycle industry as a lead technician and shop manager, ultimately overseeing the service department at University Bicycles—ranked among the top 10 bicycle stores in the country.
Driven by a passion for entrepreneurship and craftsmanship, Ryan brings together his background in audio engineering, project management, construction, and technical mechanics to lead his company’s acoustic treatment and AV installation services with a high level of professionalism, precision, and customer-focused execution.

George Sepmeier
General Manager
With a degree in Music Performance and a background in graphic design and construction, George brings a variety of skills to the Contour Audio team. He handles all aspects of the business from marketing to project design and management and serves as an all-around support to business operations. Outside of work, he enjoys writing and playing music with his bluegrass band and spending time in the great outdoors.

Luke Barba
Sales Assistant / Project Coordinator
With degrees in Environmental Studies and Recording Arts, Luke blends technical skill with creative depth. A classically trained pianist and former semi-pro soccer player, he’s as comfortable drilling concrete in full PPE from a scaffold as performing Beethoven in a suit for a packed hall. Whether managing an event or layering basslines, Luke shows up with precision, adaptability, and a passion for making things work — and making them sound great
